The Unhappy May Die Today

It is no coincidence that the heart is the organ associated with feelings…

It reflects everything you feel…

It races with joy, tightens with sadness, and speeds up with excitement…

But if it mirrors what you feel… Is what you feel good or bad?

I mean…

Is what you do most of the time what makes you happy?

Because, I don't know if you are aware of this…

But the only animal capable of having a heart attack is the human being.

Acute myocardial infarction is a phenomenon triggered primarily by your emotions.

That is, although other animals also experience emotions, the ability to conjure and anticipate the future — which amplifies emotional peaks — is an exclusively human trait.

Thus, a study published by the American Heart Journal serves as a warning to workers around the world…

According to an 8-year study with more than 156,000 recorded heart attacks…

The highest risk of heart attack occurs on Mondays.

Another study conducted by USP (Universidade de São Paulo), which analyzed 173,982 thousand hospitalizations caused by cardiovascular disorders…

Also concluded that Monday is the day most prone to heart attacks.

But why Monday?

Well, this phenomenon becomes easier to understand if it has ever happened to you…

Have you ever woken up before your alarm with your heart racing, worried about something you needed to deliver in the week ahead?

You see, on one side we have the heart attack as an emotional consequence… on the other, we have the traditional enemy of the worker… Monday.

Many times, it hasn't even arrived yet, and you are already trying to avoid it on Sunday evening from the comfort of your couch.

You subject yourself to a stress load for two reasons:

1 — You adapt too quickly to the break in routine and to rest, making it far more difficult to accept Monday and the routine all over again.

2 — You are unhappy with your routine.

The first reason is clearly a consequence of the second, and the heart attack is a consequence of both combined.

Not by chance, both studies conducted by the American Heart Journal and by USP point out that the time with the most recorded heart attacks is between 9 a.m. and noon on Mondays.

According to specialists…

“The main risk factor that triggers a heart attack at the beginning of the week is the stress caused when external burdens (workload, social, economic, financial) or internal ones (emotional and existential) exceed our capacity to respond”

In other words, your chances increase when you have a problem and do not know how to solve it.

And do not think this is a concern exclusive to people of a certain age…

In fact, the number of heart attacks in people under 40 has only been rising.

That is why I ask:

Is what you do most of the time what makes you happy?

I recognize that most people work out of necessity, not out of happiness… but what is your case?

If you are like most people, you dread Mondays…

You do your job solely for money, not for a purpose.

You don't feel challenged, nor do you feel like a relevant person…

But what if I told you it is possible to change that, and even come to love Mondays?

Would you be interested in leaving your boring job behind and living the career you always dreamed of?

With 40 deaths per hour in Brazil from heart disease, I bet I already know your answer.

And fortunately, I also know how to help you…

If you don't know me yet, my name is Maurício Benvenutti, I am a partner at StartSe, and I have a solution for you.

I believe the best way to deal with the problem of sudden cardiac events is to prevent them… both for your health and for your happiness.

After all, as the studies conclude, if you are happy, you will dramatically reduce your chances of having a heart attack.

But is it really possible to be happy at work?

Absolutely.

But more than being possible, happiness at work is a trend of the new economy, and that is why I am here.

Perhaps you still don't know what to do…

But there are already professionals in the market being sought after by enviable companies, even without a college degree.

New competencies are being demanded in today's market, and if you have what they are looking for, your professional future may be far better than you imagine.
