2022 can be an incredible year or a bad one. For most it may even be bad, but for those who know how to leverage these trends in their favor, the chance to stand out will be enormous!

This year that has just begun will hold a great opportunity for those who are aware of some important details that can place you among the 10% who will achieve the greatest results over the next 365 days…

Just as 2021 was also a year full of challenges for the majority of businesses, some companies still managed to grow exponentially!

What I mean is that if you are prepared and know how to adapt to the rhythm of change, there is no such thing as a "bad year"!

That is why in this email I will share some of my predictions for 2022 that can help you develop valuable business strategies to boost your results in a year that promises many changes…

Therefore, if you want to vaccinate your business against some of the turbulence ahead and become immune to the obstacles that prevent digital businesses from being extremely successful in this new era…

  1. The Metaverse Will Explode: Since the second half of last year, the hottest topic has been the Metaverse, and 2022 promises to deliver on that front. There is nothing extremely new just yet, but when one of the world's biggest digital companies changes its name from "Facebook" to "Meta," it draws all the attention needed for something new to emerge — that single factor alone has already changed the game, and Mark Zuckerberg genuinely has the influence today to set trends.

That is why this year I promise to bring you many updates and guidance on the Metaverse so you do not fall behind and miss the opportunity to ride this new wave while the tide is still rising.

  1. The Cost of Leads Will Rise: I know this is not the most pleasant news to read, but as entrepreneurs, one of our roles is to face reality with clarity and adapt as quickly as possible to change.

The golden era when a lead cost just a few cents is over.

This does not mean it is the end of digital marketing (be wary if anyone tries to convince you of that), but it does mean you need to operate like a serious business personality, build financial reserves, and engage with your clients with a long-term mindset.

I also cover this extensively in my Immersion program — the businesses that will survive today are those that can pay more to acquire a customer, which means they win the paid advertising auction and can scale further… Write this down: "The digital businesses that will survive are those that can afford to bring in new customers."

  1. More Opportunities on Instagram: Instagram's Head has been reinforcing for some time now that Instagram is no longer the social network it once was, existing solely to post photos.

Every day the platform gives content creators more opportunities to stand out.

Nowadays many people are learning and teaching on Instagram through high-value content. And there are two sides to this coin: those who only consume content and those who are helping people and earning money from it…

Now, the question is: which side do you want to be on this year?

  1. Large Companies Will Go Digital: Even with the digital landscape being very prominent in recent years, not all companies are definitively where they should be online — and I would even venture to say that most companies are NOT there yet!

In 2022, some large companies may enter the digital market with greater force, because after 2020 and 2021 it is more proven than ever that the internet is the future of successful business.

I have the opportunity to speak with friends who today run companies generating billions in annual revenue, and I hear many ambitious plans and investment commitments for this year — meaning there will be a great deal of money circulating in the digital space once again.

  1. Job Openings in Digital Marketing: As more companies enter the digital space, more employment opportunities and service contracts will emerge.

This means it will be a good year for those who develop certain skills and specialize in careers that are practically exclusive to the digital world.

Social Media Managers, Copywriters, Traffic Managers, Customer Support Specialists, Designers, Developers… These are some of the professions that tend to continue growing at an above-average rate this year.

Beyond that, new professions will also emerge as the metaverse develops, such as Virtual World Strategists, Metaverse Security Engineers, Meta-Storytellers, and more.

  1. The Barrier to Entry Will Increase: As in all fields, it is natural for a market that already has major players to become harder to break into — though never impossible.

For those who are just starting out as digital entrepreneurs, it has become increasingly difficult given more professional competitors, higher lead costs, and other factors. In other words, anyone looking to enter the digital space today needs, more than ever, to invest even more in knowledge and consulting to stand out.

  1. Attention Will Become Even More Valuable: Those who fail to learn how to attract attention to their business this year may indeed have a rough time.

As I have been emphasizing for some time — and even wrote an entire book about — attention is the world's most valuable asset, and it will only continue to grow in value.

And it is not simply about grabbing attention carelessly; you need to be precisely strategic when capturing your audience's attention, in order to make an impact while building long-term value.
